Good Things

(oh, how I love me some Martha)

–  A couple days ago I was delighted to see a copy of the Foster & Ado.ptive Parent newsletter in my mailbox.

– Yesterday afternoon A spotted a beautiful praying mantis resting on the side of our house.  In certain cultures this deadly mate is also thought to be a mystic whose presense tells of good fortune for those she has visited.  I thought it was rather opportune to have had this spotting on my birthday.

– Today Andrea and I celebrate 10 years of commitment, hard work, happiness, and love.  What can I possibly say to honor this amazing gift that we’ve been given?  I knew it in the moment that we met, and I know it even more today – I was born to love her.

I was a child and she was a child
In this kingdom by the sea:
But we loved with a love that was more than love—
